The GS-PV1-S Dual Sensor minimizes ghosting by combining pressure sensing (hydrophone) and velocity sensing (geophones) into a single unit.

For ocean bottom cable applications, combining the output of geophones and a hydrophone is now a widely accepted technique for reducing ghosting. To overcome the disadvantages of using two separate sensors, Geo Space now offers both pressure sensing and motion sensing in one unit. To achieve vertical orientation, the geophones are gimbal mounted and positioned adjacent to the hydrophone with all elements in a single waterproof enclosure. Boot guard available for added protection.
